Welcome to Sirona Therapy
The story, values, and clinical vision behind our
Mount Kisco psychotherapy practice
Rewrite Your Story
Sirona Therapy was created from a deeply personal professional vision.
My name is Jennifer L. Zauner, LCSWR. Throughout more than 35 years as a psychotherapist, I have worked in many different treatment settings and supported people through some of the most painful and vulnerable periods of their lives. Over time, I developed a clear understanding of what helps people feel safe enough to do effective and lasting emotional work. I also saw how easily therapy can begin to feel impersonal, or confined by systems that do not fully recognize the individual.
I knew I needed to create something different. Something meaningful, beautiful, and personal. A place where healing is guided by wisdom, heart, and plenty of humor, and grounded in expertise. That vision became Sirona Therapy.
We will work together in creating and designing the most effective individualized treatment plans. I rewrote my story and created a place where you can rewrite yours.

A Sanctuary For Healing
When I began creating the Sirona Therapy office, I did not want it to feel like an ordinary clinical setting. I wanted to create a calm and private refuge from the noise, pressure, and constant demands of everyday life. A place where your shoulders can begin to lower before the session even starts.
Every element of the space was chosen with intention. Natural materials, sunlight, plants, soothing music, comfortable furnishings, and a sense of openness all contribute to an environment where people can begin to breathe more freely.
The environment can help you feel more settled. It can offer a moment to pause, reconnect with yourself, and feel cared for before you have even found the words to describe what brought you here.
Clients have often described the office as a sanctuary. To me, that is one of the most meaningful compliments the space could receive.
What I Believe About Therapy
Throughout my career, I have never believed that psychotherapy should be reduced to a formula. Every person comes to therapy with a different history, temperament, relationships dynamics, and ways of coping with pain. Even when two people appear to be struggling with the same problem, their experiences and needs may be very different.
I created Sirona Therapy around the belief that treatment should begin with the person, not with a predetermined method. Good therapy may include practical tools, deeper emotional exploration, or a combination of both. What matters is that the work responds to who you are, what you have lived through, and what you need in order to grow.
The therapeutic relationship is also deeply important to me. People need to feel genuinely seen, respected, and understood before they can safely examine the parts of their lives that are most difficult to face. These beliefs have shaped every aspect of Sirona Therapy, from the clinicians I choose to work with to the thoughtful and individualized care we strive to provide.
The Birth of STEDI™ (Silence The Eating Disorder Inside)
My work with eating disorders is one of the most important and rewarding parts of my professional life.
When I started this specialty, I realized that there was a lack of awareness and training outside of dedicated treatment centers. Many people struggling with eating disorders needed more than symptoms management. Food and body concerns were often connected to much deeper emotional experiences, including shame, trauma, perfectionism, fear, loneliness, identity, family relationships, and the need to feel some sense of control.
This understanding led me to develop STEDI™, which stands for Silence the Eating Disorder Inside.
STEDI™ is more a philosophy than a rigid protocol. It reflects my belief that eating-disorder treatment must address both the visible behaviors and the emotional pain that gives those behaviors meaning.
The goal is not to silence a person or force change through criticism and control. It is to help quiet the eating-disorder voice so the person’s own thoughts, needs, values, and identity can become stronger.
This highly individualized work is practiced with compassion and understanding that an eating disorder is not simply a collection of symptoms. It is often a way of surviving something that has felt too difficult to express or manage in another way.
What This Vision Means for Your Growth and Healing
- Begins with you as a whole person, not simply a diagnosis
- Makes room for both practical support and deeper emotional understanding
- Adapts as your needs, goals, and life circumstances change
- Recognizes the importance of your history, relationships, and strengths
- Is grounded in warmth, honesty, respect, and genuine human connection
Small Practice, Individualized Care
I have deliberately kept Sirona Therapy small.
When you reach out to us, you are not entering a large or anonymous system. You are connecting with a closely held practice where clinical care remains personal and where each client’s treatment can be considered thoughtfully.
Being a small independent practice gives us the flexibility to remain attentive to the individual sitting in front of us. Treatment is not built around a standardized formula or a predetermined timeline. We take time to understand your history, present concerns, strengths, relationships, and goals. As your needs change, the work can change with you.
People can feel and sense when they are being genuinely seen and when someone is simply moving through a checklist. Therapy should offer more than techniques. It should provide a relationship in which you can be honest, curious, uncertain, challenged, and supported. Our size allows us to protect what matters most to us: continuity, responsiveness, clinical judgment, and a genuine therapeutic connection.
What Shapes Our Work
The aim is not just to help you function better while leaving the deeper struggles untouched. It is to help you build greater self-compassion, emotional flexibility, and the ability to respond to your life with more freedom and self-respect.
Private Personalized Care
Sirona Therapy is a private-pay practice.
This structure allows treatment decisions to remain centered on your clinical needs, goals, and therapeutic relationship, while maintaining privacy.
We can also provide documentation for clients who choose to pursue out-of-network reimbursement.
Begin Your Next Chapter
Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you have spent a long time managing things on your own.
You do not need to have the right words or a complete understanding of what is wrong. You only need a sense that something needs to change.
We invite you to tell us a little about what you are facing and what you hope might become possible. Together, we can consider whether Sirona Therapy feels like the right place to begin.
